Matt Ian Kelly
Matt trained at ALRA. Credits include: Harry in Brassed Off - UK No.1 tour (Theatre by The Lake, Keswick, Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough and Octagon Theatre, Bolton), What's Wrong with Angry? (BAC), I am Star Trek (Hackney Empire) Working extensively with Les Enfant Terribles - UK/international tours of Immaculate, originating the role of Lucifer, and the original cast of The Terrible Infants (including the Lowry, Manchester, Arts Theatre, London, Oxford Playhouse, Esplanade Theatre, Singapore, also playing at Holden Street Theatre during the Adelaide Festival). For Greenwich Theatre he appeared as Bob Hull in the award winning tour of The Temperamentals at the Dublin Festival and Courtyard Theatre, Hereford; and co-wrote and devised Jennifer Skylark And The Seagull's Handbook, a site specific children's piece created in conjunction with Powderkeg. Matt worked extensively with O&Co Productions at the Kenton Theatre in Henley-on-Thames - starring in the pantos Jack And The Beanstalk and Sleeping Beauty as Dame/Nurse Trott and starring alongside Peter Duncan in The Three Musketeers. TV roles include Simon and Garfunkel's manager, Mort Lewis, for ITV's Breaking The Band and Matt voiced the role of 'Ulme' in the hit children's animated film 'Vik the Viking and the Magic Sword', which is currently available on Amazon Prime. Matt is looking forward to returning, virtually, a fifth time, to Camberley Theatre this Christmas - previously appearing in Robin Hood as Dame Cherry Bakewell, Jack and the Beanstalk as Dame Trott, Nurse Stella Artois in Beauty and the Beast and last year appearing as Baroness Hardup in Cinderella.
