About The Band of the Coldstream Guards

The Band of the Coldstream Guards

The quintet members are all principal players within the band and have been performing together for around six months. The primary role for the quintet is to perform for Officers and elite military personnel at prestigious functions, and in December the quintet performed at a high profile engagement at the British Embassy in Tokyo as part of the band’s Japan tour.

The Woodwind Quintet’s repertoire covers many different styles of music, from Baroque to Contemporary, including original works and arrangements of popular music. This broad range enables the quintet to be incredibly versatile when choosing the programme for any kind of event.

The music for the Camberley Theatre concert has been chosen for its appeal to a wide audience. Younger patrons will enjoy an arrangement of Prokofiev’s ‘Peter and the Wolf’, with memorable themes and live narration. Whereas Zemlinsky’s ‘Humoresque’ showcases the quintet’s ensemble balance and soloistic flair.

These performances will be taking place in the Function Room.
