Camberley Theatre began life as the Civic Hall and was built to fulfil the needs in the area for a public assembly and entertainment hall. Work began in 1962 and the costs spread over two financial years. It was officially opened on the 1st October 1966 by the Lord Lieutenant of Surrey, the Rt Hon. The Earl of Munster. The venue has a 400 seater auditorium with a polished wooden floor for dances and exhibitions. It has hosted a variety of entertainment from rock bands, ballet, operatic, lectures, discos, solo artists, folk music, wrestling, comedy, pantomime and much, much more! It was modernised in 1995 and renamed 'Arts Link' and is now known as Camberley Theatre. It remains an important modern venue and cultural centre that is well known throughout the Borough.

The Annual Pantomime

An integral part of the Camberley Theatre programme is the annual Christmas pantomime which has been a family tradition for decades. With slapstick, comedy and music Camberley Theatre's pantomime provides everything you require to add some Christmas cheer to your holiday season... oh yes it does! In 2013, we made the decision to stop casting celebrities to star in our pantomimes and instead focus on the quality of the performance. Since then, we have received 3 Pantomime Award nominations and are consistently breaking box office records. This year we are putting on our version of Snow White and can't wait for you all to see it!
